Principal's Message

From the Desk of Dr. Mack

Welcome Wildcats to Appling Middle School.  I am thrilled to have each of you as part of our family.  Whether you are with us for your final year or your first year, it is going to be awesome. I am privileged to serve as principal here at Appling.  The staff and I thank you for entrusting your most precious cargo, your children, to us this school year.   Bartlett City Schools is beginning our fourth year and I say with certainty that every year gets better.  We continue growing, teaching, and learning.

Here at Appling we believe in and strive for: E3 Excellence Everybody Every Day!  Our continued goal is to prepare our students for future success by providing them with a strong academic foundation.  This past year, we counted several of the top BHS graduates were former Appling Wildcats.  We are proud of our strong academic traditions and do our best to maintain an academically challenging program.   The middle school years can be the most challenging and rewarding for students and parents alike.  Academically so that they can reach their potential and demonstrate E3.  No longer will just enough be good enough.  Our wish for each student while they are here at Appling is for them to find their niche and excel academically and socially.  I think you will find at Appling that we welcome every student be they actors, artists, athletes, musicians, or vocalist.  There is an activity for them to become involved with over the course of their middle school career here at Appling.

Our Appling parents are the foundation of student success.  We cannot grow successful students without your help.  We encourage you to become involved with and support the work of our school and its activities.  The school PTO would love to have you!  We want our Wildcat Family to be active supporters of all things Appling during your time here.

As always, my hope for this year is academic growth for our students, responsiveness to the needs of each students, and open communication where the faculty and staff can address your concerns.  I’m just an e-mail or phone call away should you need to share your concerns.  I look forward to meeting each of you and working with your family during your students’ time here at Appling Middle.  Remember, once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.
