Appling Middle School Band and Orchestra Trip – Dallas, TX April 28-May 1
The Appling bands and orchestra traveled to Dallas, TX this past weekend to compete in the Music in the Parks Festival. The Appling string orchestra received a rating of excellent and 1st place. The Appling honor band received a rating of superior and 2nd place. The Appling jazz band received a rating of superior and 1stplace and had the highest score of any instrumental ensemble (both middle and high school) with a 96.5. Appling Middle School musicians also earned the coveted Esprit de Corps award which is the award for the school with the best behavior and who are respectful, well mannered, have a good attitude, are helpful, and friendly. Way to go Appling!
