Grading
6th Grade Science Class Grading Procedures:
1) All grades are based on total points.
2) 1 overall homework grade of 100 total points will be given per 9 weeks.
a. Homework is used as a learning tool so it is corrected and discussed in class.
b. Homework grades are based on completion.
c. Teacher chosen assignments will be averaged cumulatively until the end of the 9 weeks when the homework grade is finalized - each is @10 points with a maximum of 100 total points per 9 weeks.
d. Students should try to complete all homework so they are prepared to discuss science topics and questions in class.
3) Quiz grades = usually 25 - 50 points
4) Major Test grades = 100 points
5) Any special projects assigned will have their own point total announced in advance.
6) Classwork grades are generally 15 - 50 points

B = 80-89
C = 70-79
