Students were given a letter on Friday 9/1 with information about our Smart Music computer program.  Students in band last year will need to renew their subscription and new students will need to activate their subscriptions with the code given to you.  I am not going to repost the letter here to the webpage because of security reasons...... we have only paid for enough codes for our band students and these are part of your band fee.  If you need the letter emailed to you, please email me at [email protected].  Please go ahead and enroll in your class.  7th and 8th grade beginners should enroll in both the 7th/8th beginner class and their class period class.  All band students have a set of five songs due on 9/20 so please get started on these.  

6th grade - #12,14,17,23, 24 (book one)

7th grade - #157, 164, 166, 172, 175 (book one)

8th grade - #120, 128.133,140,141 (book two)

7th/8th beginners - #14,18,38, 42,44 (book one)

 

I also encourage you to explore the program and look at other songs in your method book, scales (under exercises on find music), sight reading exercises (there are ten levels and 6th grade can start with level one, 7th grade level 2, and 8th grade level 3), and also download tons of solo literature pieces.  This will be a wonderful practice tool for you and you will definitely get better if you use this program.
