7th and 8th grade band students will be performing at open house tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.  This is treated as a "concert" even though it is informal and in the gym and is part of your grade and responsibility and been on the calendar for months.  We have been assigned the 6:30 time slot in the gym and students need to report to the band room at 6 pm for warm up and tuning.  If you have your own wire music stand, please bring it because we will not have enough stands for everyone (especially for warm up because the orchestra will be using some of our stands for their performance before us).  We should be finished by 6:45 so that you can still go to classrooms or book fair for a few minutes (or your parents can go during your warm up).  You are to wear your new band t-shirt that was distributed today and jeans.  We will perform the Star Spangled Banner together and each group will perform two songs.  I will need everyone to help move equipment back to the band room when we are done.  I'm looking forward to a good concert tomorrow evening!
