From the Desk of Dr. Mack
Welcome to Appling Middle School, home of the Wildcats. I’m truly excited that you have become part of our family and that this will be your home for the next year, two, or three. It’s my honor and privilege as principal to lead this school and staff as we take care of some most precious cargo – your children. Our district is beginning our third year and I trust that this year will be better than the last. We are still growing and learning.
At Appling we believe in and strive for: E3– Excellence – Everybody – Everyday. Our goal is to prepare our students for future success by providing them with a strong academic foundation. This past year, the Bartlett High School Valedictorian was a former Appling student and 5 of the Top 10 BHS graduates were former Wildcats. We are proud of our strong academic traditions. The middle school years are some of the most challenging and rewarding for students and parents alike. We will challenge our students academically so that they can reach their potential and demonstrate E3. Our wish for each student while they are here at Appling is for them to find their niche and excel academically and socially. I think you will find at Appling that we welcome every student be they actors, artists, athletes, musicians, or vocalist. There is an activity for them to become involved with over the course of their middle school career here at Appling.
Our Appling parents are the foundation of student success. We cannot grow successful students without your help. We encourage you to become involved with and support the work of our school and its activities. The school PTO would love to have you! We want you to be an active supporter of all things Appling during your child’s middle school years.
As always, my hope for this year is academic growth for our students, all around responsiveness to the needs of our students, and open communication where you allow us, and not social media, to address your concerns. I’m just an e-mail or phone call away for you need to share your concerns. Furthermore, my door is always open to each of you. I look forward to meeting each of you and working with your family during your students’ time here at Appling Middle. Remember, once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat.
